Exchanging contacts
Click the person and choose Ask for their contact. They decide whether to share theirs, and saying no doesn't notify anyone.
If they accept, you're added to each other's contacts and can talk on Messenger, even from opposite ends of town. Whoever has your contact can also see your apartment number.
